What documents are available in the Reports and Budgets library?

The Reports and Budgets Library is a repository of State Government and Municipal Budgets and Annual Reports.
The documents are classified as
  1. State Reports
  2. Municipality Reports
  3. Other Reports
State reports consists of the following categories of reports state wise, year wise-
  • Budgets of state governments
  • Economic Survey of the state
  • Accounts of state governments
  • Audit reports of state governments
  • Annual reports of state level public sector undertakings
  • Bond Information Memorandums
  • State Finance Commission Reports
  • Rating Reports
Municipal reports consists of the following categories of reports state wise-
  • Budgets of municipal corporations
  • Annual Accounts of municipal corporations
  • City Development Plans
  • Rating Reports
Other reports consist of Guides and Macromoney Research reports. Guides are tutorials which assist reading and understanding of government documents.
Macromoney Research reports are in house reports available for download. Examples of our research reports are: a) Translation of budgets/annual reports from vernacular language to English b) Head notes, which is chapter wise summary of government reports c) Excel spreadsheets which give the government accounts for the last five years. These are customized reports prepared for clients. Samples are available in the library for download.
There are more than 4000 documents in the library now. More categories and more years of documents will be added regularly.

How are the government documents sourced?

These documents are sourced from a) the websites of the governments b) directly from the municipal corporation/ PSUs. We also receive documents from various users/think tanks in the country.

What does "Reports we have" mean?

A list of documents available in the library is visible in the "Reports we have" section in the 'home page' of the website. It is a catalogue of reports available in the library. Each document carries a description of the content.

What does 'Reports we need' mean?

In the section "Reports we need", we have published a list of documents we would like to have in our library. If you have any of these documents, you are welcome to donate them to the library.

What is the subscription fee?

The library is free to use. There is no charge for the downloads. However, registration is a requirement to access the documents in the library.
